New Construction

If you like to save money, involve Atlantic Roofers at the beginning of a project. We routinely work together with architects and engineers to select the most robust, cost-effective roofing materials and construction parameters.

When we consult during the planning process, we can build in savings on materials, time and labour before construction begins. Atlantic Roofers’ new construction proposals and tenders are comprehensive, itemized, and include a projection of preventative maintenance measures. Maintenance contracts

Proper flat roof maintenance helps to address small problems before they become big problems.

A well-planned preventive maintenance program coupled with a thorough inspection on a regular basis will add years of useful life to your flat roof. Atlantic Roofers will work with you to select an appropriate Atlantic Maintenance Contract to safeguard your roof and extend its life.

Atlantic Roofers 9-Point Maintenance Process

Along with a visual inspection, Atlantic Roofers can perform an infrared roof survey using thermographic technology. We will diagnose the current state of your roof, identify potential problem areas and thermal performance issues.

Our twice-yearly 6-point maintenance packages include the following steps:

1. Inspect the condition of the entire roof using cutting edge diagnostic technology
2. Fill depleted pitch pans with rubberized mastic cement
3. Clean roof area and remove debris on rooftop, drains, and gutters
4. Resecure loose metal flashing
5. Repair voids in existing caulking
6. Replace any missing telescopic vent stack covers

Following inspection and repair, you will receive an Atlantic Roofers Rooftop Report, which:

• documents the completion of the maintenance checklist
• provides a triage report of any problem areas that need to be repaired immediately, in the short-term and mid-term, along with firm price quotations on major repair options so that you can include them in your budget planning
• offers before, during, and after photographs of performed maintenance and trouble spots

Roof Recovering and Replacement

Even the best-built roof does not last forever.
But if the rest of the building is sound, recovering or replacing a flat roof can help extend the life of your building and safeguard the people, goods and equipment within. Atlantic Roofers routinely replaces the roofs of manufacturing plants and factories, warehouses, commercial buildings and institutions like schools, hospitals and government offices…with no downtime for your organization.

What’s involved

Roof recovering involves removing all wet or deteriorating insulation, then recovering an existing roofing system with a new system.

Roof replacement involves removing the entire existing roof surface, membrane, and insulation down to the deck before installing a new roof.

Both methods are appropriate for roofs that can no longer be repaired through regular maintenance, are showing signs of deterioration, or are beginning to leak. The choice of method depends on your long term goals for the building.

In most flat roof recovering and replacement scenarios, our roofing teams carry out the work while the building is occupied. We take special precautions to ensure that building occupants stay safe and are inconvenienced as little as possible.

We coordinate with you to fit other trades into the project and provide you with updates to pass along to management, building administrators or tenants. As with all roofing projects, our aim is to exceed industry standards for safety and quality.

Each project comes with a comprehensive warranty. If you opt for a roofing maintenance contract, you can extend your roof warranty for up to 25 years.

Atlantic Roofers’ 24/7 emergency roof repair service teams handle all sizes of job, whether it’s a small leak or a major repair. With six locations across Atlantic Canada, we are always within range of your facilities and can typically have a team on site as soon as weather permits.

Using infrared thermographic technology, we will diagnose problem areas, enabling you to make the best decision for your building. We will estimate the cost of the immediate repair, as well as identifying and quoting any work required to permanently solve deeper issues.
